“The process of getting our mobile app up was easy and painless. All they needed was a high resolution copy of my logo. It was hassle free and completed on time. I really appreciated they didn't take my attention away from selling.” – Joe Dodd, All-Star Insurance

Texas Bill Supports Mobile Insurance Apps

How do I make a mobile app for my insurance agency?

Posted by on in News

Spring must be right around the corner, because new beginnings are here! All-Star insurance has launched their mobile app on Apple and android devices. They are excited to give self-service certificates, digital ID cards, and policy documents to their customers via their own mobile customer portal. Both commercial and personal lines customers will be benefiting from their mobile insurance app, and the agents at All-Star have already begun working it into their pitch when they sell new policyholders.

All-Star Insurance is based in Gilmer, Texas. Anyone who has ever been to East Texas knows about the high levels of customer service stemming from their infectious southern hospitality. In just a short time they have quickly grown to being one of the best independent insurance agencies in their region. Their development of a mobile insurance app shows their commitment to providing the best possible customer experience, and there is no doubt they will continue on the successful track they are currently on.

Being rural doesn't mean your clients are technically challenged. All-Star Insurance understands this principle, and is taking advantage of the fact their competition does not. In a recent survey of their policyholders, over 75% of them said they would use a mobile app to interface with their agency. Mobile insurance apps are not just for "City Slickers", even "Good ol' Country Boys", are making the shift to mobile self service.

Sometimes people just get it, and we are proud to say Sam Castronova at ezbind.com is one of them. They have been one of our beta agents since day one. When I first approached Sam, he challenged me to get a useful agency function to the mobile insurance app. We discussed options upon options, features upon features...it seemed endless. I was thinking I was going to have to be building mobile insurance apps for the rest of my natural life. I finally wrestled him down, and we agreed on 3 simple features. Get policies and Auto ID Cards, self serve certificates, and mobile payments. If you know Sam, getting him to aqueous to just 3 features in his mobile insurance app, was a victory in itself. :)

Since his adoption, he has been selling his Contractors Insurance to the tune of 30 policies per day. Providing a self service portal to his clients has proven to be instrumental in his ability to grow his agency without having the support staff traditionally needed with contractors.

"Additional Insureds are easy now.", says Castronova. "We used to hit a limit on the amount of quotes we could get out, but now...we just sell. All my customers loving having the mobile insurance app to get their certificates of insurance. I have even sold policies based on the fact I have a mobile app."
